Verbes reguliers en -re et -ir

To conjugate verbs in the present tense that end in -ir you must drop the -ir and add is, is, it, issons, issez, and issent

Ex: Finir- to finish

je finis
tu finis
il/elle/ on finit
nous finissons
vous finissez
ils/elles finissent

examples of -ir:

La mère punit ses enfants quand ils sont mauvais.
The mother punishes her children when they are bad.

Ellen reflechit le garçon qu'elle aime.
Ellen thinks about the boy she likes.

Elle finit ses devoirs tous les jours avant classe.
She finished her homework everyday before class.

Les enfants grandissent tres vite!
The infants grow up so fast!

C'est très important vous nourrissons les fleurs.
It's very important you nourish the flowers.

J'obéis ma mère et mon père parce que je les aime!
I obey my mother and my father because I love them!

Il bâtit une grande maison dans la ville.
He builds a big house in the city.

Je choisis les cours pour pourchain semestre.
I choose classes for next semester.

Elle remplit la fontaine.
She refills the fountain.

Nous réussissons en classe de Français.
We succeed in French class.

examples of -re:

Elle entend le chien aboyer.
She hears the dog bark.

Je deponds sur mes amis pour un nuit bon.
I depend on my friends for a good night.

Ils descendent l'escalier pour la nourriture dans la cuisine.
They go down the stairs for the food in the kitchen.

J'attends mes amis a l'aéroport.
I wait for my friends at the airport.

Il perd son crayon d'abord l'examen.
He lost his pencil before the test.
